Terms and Conditions
These Terms and Conditions govern your access to and use of Card Encla Velorne, an offline poker venue and restaurant located at Level 1, 88 Crown Street, Sydney NSW 2000, Australia.
By entering the venue, participating in any live poker session, poker night, or using the card lounge, poker tables, or restaurant, you agree to be bound by these terms. If you do not agree to these terms, you must not enter the venue or participate in any activities.

1. Acceptance of Terms
By entering Card Encla Velorne or using any of its facilities, including the offline poker area, card lounge, poker tables, and restaurant, you accept these Terms and Conditions in full. These terms apply to all visitors, guests, members, and participants.
If you are under 18 years of age, you are not permitted to enter the poker areas or participate in any live poker sessions. The venue may request proof of age at any time, and entry to poker areas may be refused where age cannot be verified.
The venue may update these terms from time to time, and continued use of the venue after any update constitutes acceptance of the updated terms. It is your responsibility to review these terms regularly.
2. Venue Entry and Conduct
Entry Requirements
Entry to Card Encla Velorne is at the discretion of venue management. You must present valid identification upon request and comply with all applicable laws and venue policies. The venue reserves the right to refuse entry or remove any person who is intoxicated, disruptive, or in breach of these terms.
- A smart casual dress code applies. Sportswear, thongs, and offensive clothing are not permitted.
- Smoking and vaping are prohibited inside the venue, including the card lounge and poker areas.
- Bags and personal items may be subject to inspection at the venue's discretion.
Conduct During Poker
All participants in live poker sessions and poker nights must behave respectfully towards staff and other players. Cheating, collusion, or any form of unfair play is strictly prohibited and will result in immediate removal and potential legal action.
Mobile phones must be silenced during live poker sessions and may not be used at the poker tables. The venue is not responsible for lost or stolen personal belongings, and patrons are encouraged to keep valuables secure.
3. Offline Poker and Live Poker Sessions
Participation in Offline Poker
Card Encla Velorne offers offline poker, including live poker sessions and poker nights, in a dedicated card room. Participation is subject to availability and these terms. Players must be 18 years or older and may be required to register before joining a live poker session.
- The venue provides poker tables and equipment; players must treat all equipment with care.
- The venue does not operate as a gambling establishment and does not facilitate wagering or financial transactions related to poker outcomes.
- All poker activities are conducted for entertainment and social purposes only, in accordance with Australian laws.
Live Poker Session Rules
During live poker sessions, players must follow the instructions of the dealer and venue staff at all times. Players must not touch another player's cards or chips. Disputes are resolved by the floor manager, whose decision is final.
The venue may record live poker sessions for security and training purposes. By participating, you consent to such recording in accordance with the venue's Privacy Policy.
4. Poker Tables and Card Lounge
Use of Poker Tables
Poker tables are available for scheduled live poker sessions and poker nights. Players must reserve a seat in advance where required. Food and beverages are not permitted at the poker tables, except for drinks in covered containers provided by the venue.
Players must not mark, damage, or alter the poker tables or cards. The venue may reassign tables or seats to ensure fair play and optimal use of the card room.
Card Lounge Etiquette
The card lounge is a shared space for relaxation and socialising between live poker sessions. All visitors must respect the comfort of others. Quiet conversation is encouraged; loud or disruptive behaviour is not permitted.
The card lounge may be used only by patrons who are participating in or waiting for poker activities. The venue reserves the right to close the card lounge for private events.
5. Poker Nights and Events
Poker Nights
Card Encla Velorne hosts regular poker nights featuring live poker sessions in a structured format. Participation requires prior registration and is subject to capacity. Poker nights are non-wagering events; no money or prizes of monetary value are exchanged based on game outcomes.
The venue may charge an entry fee to cover operational costs, which is non-refundable except as required by law. The schedule and format of poker nights may change without notice, but the venue will make reasonable efforts to inform registered participants.
Private Events
The venue may host private poker events and corporate functions. Separate agreements may apply to such events. Private event bookings are subject to availability and require a separate contract. All participants in private events must still comply with these Terms and Conditions.
6. Restaurant and Dining
Dining at Card Encla Velorne
The restaurant at Card Encla Velorne offers a premium dining experience as a secondary service to the offline poker venue. Dining is available to all patrons, whether or not they participate in poker.
Restaurant hours may differ from poker hours and are subject to change. A valid reservation is recommended, especially during poker nights and peak times. The venue reserves the right to refuse service to intoxicated or disruptive patrons.
Dietary requirements should be communicated at the time of reservation; the venue will make reasonable efforts to accommodate them but cannot guarantee allergen-free preparation.
7. Reservations and Cancellations
Reservations
Reservations for live poker sessions, poker nights, and restaurant dining can be made through the venue's website or by contacting the venue directly. Reservations are subject to availability and confirmation by the venue.
For poker sessions, a reservation guarantees a seat only until 15 minutes after the scheduled start time. For restaurant dining, a reservation is held for 15 minutes past the booked time; after that, the table may be released.
Cancellations
Cancellations must be made at least 24 hours in advance for group bookings of 6 or more. No-shows may be subject to a fee as stated at the time of booking.
The venue may cancel or reschedule a live poker session or poker night due to unforeseen circumstances; in such cases, registered participants will be notified and any entry fees refunded. The venue is not liable for any travel or accommodation costs incurred due to cancellation.
8. Liability and Indemnity
Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Card Encla Velorne is not liable for any loss, damage, or injury arising from your use of the venue, except where caused by the venue's gross negligence or wilful misconduct. This includes, but is not limited to, loss of personal property, personal injury, or any indirect or consequential loss.
Nothing in these terms excludes any rights you may have under the Australian Consumer Law.
Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Card Encla Velorne, its staff, and agents from any claims arising out of your breach of these terms or your negligent or intentional misconduct.
9. Privacy and Data
Card Encla Velorne collects and handles personal information in accordance with its Privacy Policy and the Australian Privacy Principles. Personal information may be collected for reservation management, security, and marketing purposes with your consent.
The venue may use CCTV in public areas for security. Footage is retained for a limited period and accessed only by authorised personnel. For more information, please refer to the Privacy Policy available on this website.
10. Changes to Terms
Card Encla Velorne may update these Terms and Conditions from time to time. The latest version will always be available on this website with the effective date stated at the top.
Material changes will be communicated through the website or by email where appropriate. Continued use of the venue after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
